Vermilion Crossing II
On the way home from a photo trip in Kimberley, BC, I passed over the Kootenay River. Shale has always impressed me. It is easy to climb over, and is wonderfully photogenic. The Kootenay River is in the background, with its greenish glacier water. Tree roots are partially above ground, creating a wonderful sense of otherworldliness. This scene is a bit down the riverside pathway.
